From our knowledge and expertise, we have provided the first worldwide substrate recognized for the In Vitro sun protection evaluation.
The characteristics of this substrate – roughness and transmission – are in total compliance with all international standards and methods such as:
- ISO 24443:2021 (and ISO 24443:2012) for in vitro UVA-PF and Critical Wavelength assessment,
- FDA rev. 2011 for in vitro Broad Spectrum determination,
- Boots Star Rating system ref. 2011 for in vitro UVA:UVB ratio assessment,
- COLIPA 2011 for in vitro UVA-PF and Critical Wavelength assessment,
- ISO/CD 23675 for in vitro SPF testing.
Manufactured by means of a molding process, this substrate is delivered with a quality certificate ensuring the reproducibility of roughness and you will improve the reliability of your results with this reproducible substrate.
Sandblasted PMMA plate
Helioplate SB6

In addition to the Molded PMMA plate HD6, our laboratory developed the Sandblasted PMMA plate SB6 obtained by a unique sandblasting process.
The characteristics of this substrate – roughness and transmission – are in total compliance with the international standards and methods such as:
